Nabothian cysts of the cervix are a common gynecological condition. Like pelvic inflammatory disease and cervicitis, they fall under the category of gynecological disorders. These cysts develop during the healing process of cervical erosion, when cervical secretions fail to drain externally and instead accumulate excessively within the tissue, leading to cyst formation due to glandular hyperplasia. Symptoms may include increased vaginal discharge, abnormal leukorrhea, pruritus of the genital area, and menstrual irregularities. In some cases, patients may experience uterine softening and edema. Any uterine abnormality can directly impair the female reproductive system.
