Sinus arrhythmia and premature cardiac contractions are generally attributed to myocarditis or myocardial ischemia; therefore, prompt diagnostic evaluation and targeted treatment are essential. In such cases, early Holter monitoring (ambulatory electrocardiography) is strongly recommended. Additionally, serum cardiac enzyme testing should be performed. Antiarrhythmic drug therapy—such as oral metoprolol—is advised.
