Can normal liver and kidney function test results rule out liver or kidney disease?
Disease description:
I’ve been feeling unwell lately and would like to go to the hospital for a comprehensive physical examination. If liver and kidney function tests come back normal, does that rule out liver or kidney disease?
Organs inside the body have been continuously sending out signals. If liver and kidney function tests were conducted recently and yielded normal results, this does not rule out liver or kidney disease. Some subtle pathological changes—such as early-stage hepatitis or early-stage nephritis—may produce a range of symptoms even while liver and kidney functions remain unaffected. Examples include early acute glomerulonephritis and early-stage hepatitis B.
