What is the best medication for hand fungus?
Disease description:
I have some tinea manuum (hand fungus) on my hands and would like to take medication for treatment. What medications are effective for tinea manuum?
Treatment of tinea manuum (hand dermatophytosis) is particularly important. Several topical antifungal agents are effective, such as compound benzoic acid lotion and compound resorcinol lotion, both of which yield satisfactory therapeutic outcomes. For patients with prolonged disease duration or suboptimal response to topical therapy, systemic antifungal agents may be added, including fluconazole, itraconazole, griseofulvin, and ketoconazole. During treatment, patients should maintain good personal hygiene and pay attention to dietary regulation—avoiding all highly irritating foods—and must refrain from scratching the affected skin lesions.
