Testicular itching commonly occurs in young men and is typically caused by the following factors: 1. Neurodermatitis or eczema affecting the scrotal area, both of which can cause pruritus. 2. Fungal infections of the scrotum—such as candidal balanoposthitis or tinea cruris extending to the scrotum—may induce itching. 3. Riboflavin (vitamin B₂) deficiency can lead to scrotal dermatitis, characterized by erythematous plaques, dryness, scaling, papules, and crusting, accompanied by pruritus. 4. During summer, elevated temperature, excessive sweating, moisture accumulation, and poor ventilation in this region cause scrotal skin to become macerated by sweat and irritated by friction from undergarments, resulting in pruritus.
