What anti-inflammatory drugs are used to treat gynecological inflammation?
Disease description:
I’ve been feeling unwell recently and went to the hospital for a checkup; the doctor diagnosed me with gynecological inflammation. I’d like to know which anti-inflammatory medications are used to treat gynecological inflammation.
For patients with sexually transmitted infections (STIs), azithromycin and doxycycline may be used, along with quinolone antibiotics such as ofloxacin, levofloxacin, and moxifloxacin. In cases of mixed infection, broad-spectrum antibiotics—such as cephalosporins, clindamycin, and amikacin—may be selected. Additionally, for vaginitis, metronidazole may be administered either topically (vaginal) or systemically (oral).
