What Causes Elevated Eosinophil Count?
Disease description:
The newly grafted skin exhibits some allergic reactions. Upon hospital examination, elevated eosinophil levels were detected. What are the possible causes of elevated eosinophil counts?
Elevated eosinophil counts may result from the following causes: bronchial asthma, drug-induced allergic reactions, angioedema, certain parasitic infections (e.g., schistosomiasis or hookworm infection), various dermatological conditions (e.g., exfoliative dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis), and hematologic disorders such as lymphoma.
