Side Effects of Short-Acting Oral Contraceptives
Disease description:
I’ve been using short-acting oral contraceptives for contraception this month. What side effects might occur?
Short-acting oral contraceptives may also cause certain side effects. Commonly reported adverse reactions include nausea, vomiting, and gastrointestinal discomfort; however, these typically resolve rapidly—often within the same day. Additionally, irregular vaginal bleeding may occur due to hormonal fluctuations induced by contraceptive use. Prolonged use may lead to menstrual disorders and endocrine abnormalities.
