The liver is one of the largest digestive organs in the human body. Impaired liver function can adversely affect digestion, leading to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Some patients may also develop palmar erythema (liver palms), spider angiomas, gingival bleeding, or epistaxis. Female patients may even experience dysmenorrhea, menstrual irregularities, mammary gland hyperplasia, and breast tenderness.
