Cervical ectropion is a physiological phenomenon and typically requires no treatment once other cervical pathologies have been ruled out. However, the cervix is susceptible to infection by viruses and bacteria, which may lead to secondary conditions such as increased vaginal discharge, abnormal vaginal discharge, and pruritus of the external genitalia. Cervicitis is a common concurrent condition; medications such as Gongyan Kang suppositories or Fu Ke Qian Jin tablets may be used symptomatically, strictly following the physician’s instructions.
