Dr. Liu Wan
Granuloma annulare is a relatively common inflammatory skin disorder that affects the subcutaneous tissue and dermis. Clinically, it presents as nodular lesions or annular papules. The etiology of granuloma annulare is complex and often associated with genetic factors, autoimmune processes, infections, or complications of other underlying diseases. In some patients, lesions may resolve spontaneously; however, most cases can be effectively managed and resolved through physical therapies or pharmacological treatments. Patients are advised to seek prompt medical evaluation at the onset of symptoms to establish an accurate diagnosis and initiate appropriate treatment.
