Additionally, maintain a balanced, light diet—opt for fresh fruits and vegetables in moderation. However, refrain from feeding highly stimulating foods for a short period after vaccination. The OPV effectively prevents poliomyelitis. After administration, the child should be observed for approximately 30 minutes; only if no adverse reactions occur may they leave.
