How long does it take to recover from rhabdomyolysis?
Disease description:
I exercised intensely yesterday, and my muscles have been extremely sore for several days. A friend suggested it might be rhabdomyolysis. How long does it typically take to recover from rhabdomyolysis?
The recovery time for rhabdomyolysis is uncertain and depends on the severity of the condition and the patient’s individual physical condition. If only muscle soreness is present without other symptoms, recovery typically occurs within about three days. However, in severe cases—especially when symptoms such as oliguria or anuria develop—medical treatment is required, and gradual recovery usually takes approximately two to four weeks.
