Teratozoospermia primarily affects the likelihood of conception but has minimal impact on fetal development. Abnormal sperm morphology does not cause fetal malformations, and abnormally shaped sperm are generally incapable of fertilizing an egg; thus, they cannot result in pregnancy. Typically, men with teratozoospermia have significantly reduced fertility. During pregnancy, close monitoring and routine prenatal examinations—including B-mode ultrasound and color Doppler ultrasound—are essential to effectively screen for potential abnormalities and enable timely intervention.
