When does male puberty occur?
Disease description:
I’ve heard that boys undergo significant changes during puberty. Could you tell me when male puberty typically occurs?
Boys typically enter puberty between the ages of 12 and 14, though individual variation may cause some to begin earlier or later. During puberty, boys undergo several developmental changes, including enlarged pores, facial hair growth, development of the Adam’s apple, and a deepening (rougher) voice. Secondary sexual characteristics also emerge, such as pubic hair growth and enlargement and thickening of the penis and glans. Additionally, rapid skeletal growth occurs during this period, resulting in a significant increase in height.
