How long after a woman undergoes dilation and curettage (D&C) can she resume sexual intercourse?

Women may resume sexual intercourse approximately one month after a dilation and curettage (D&C) procedure, but only once the body has fully recovered. Early resumption of intercourse is not recommended, as the cervical os remains open following the D&C and requires time to heal. Engaging in sexual activity too soon may lead to genital tract infections, potentially causing vaginitis or pelvic inflammatory disease.
