In cases of delayed menstruation, pregnancy tests using urine test strips are generally more accurate when performed in the morning. These test strips detect the concentration of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine to determine whether pregnancy has occurred. When menstruation is delayed by one week or more, hCG levels in urine are typically elevated. Morning urine is preferred for testing, as it contains the highest concentration of hCG, thereby yielding the most accurate results.
