Post-Dental Prosthesis Care Instructions
Disease description:
I have a decayed tooth and would like to have it extracted and replaced with a healthy artificial tooth. What precautions should I take after getting a dental prosthesis?
After getting dental prostheses, the first priority is to maintain good oral hygiene—develop the habit of brushing your teeth after meals and before bedtime. If you have removable dentures, remove them regularly for thorough cleaning. Secondly, protect your prostheses postoperatively: avoid eating excessively hard foods, which may cause the prostheses to crack or lead to tooth pain and other adverse symptoms.
