Can a hypertension treatment device help lower blood pressure?
Disease description:
Since my hypertension is relatively severe, my child bought me a hypertension treatment device—will it help lower my blood pressure?
In clinical practice, hypertension treatment devices can produce a certain blood pressure–lowering effect; however, they serve only as an adjunctive therapy for hypertension, and their efficacy varies among individuals. Therefore, patients with hypertension are generally advised—under the guidance of a physician—to control their blood pressure using antihypertensive medications such as nifedipine controlled-release tablets and nifedipine (e.g., Adalat). Additionally, patients should avoid consuming pickled or salt-preserved foods whenever possible.
