What are the symptoms of cervical lymphadenitis?
Disease description:
Recently, I’ve been feeling uncomfortable in my lymph nodes, and my throat has become hoarse and somewhat painful. I’m not sure if this is lymphadenitis. Could you please tell me what symptoms are associated with cervical lymphadenitis?
Cervical lymphadenitis presents with varying symptoms depending on severity. In mild cases, patients typically experience slight enlargement of cervical lymph nodes accompanied by significant pain, which may worsen during speaking. In severe infections, lymph nodes become markedly enlarged and hyperplastic, and systemic toxic symptoms—such as abscess formation, chills, and high fever—may occur. Prompt medical evaluation and treatment at a hospital are essential.
