What does it mean when a woman develops cauliflower-like growths in the genital area?
Disease description:
I’ve been feeling uncomfortable down there recently, and today I noticed something resembling cauliflower growths. What could cause cauliflower-like growths in the female genital area?
If a woman develops cauliflower-like growths on the external genitalia, this is likely genital warts—caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. Genital warts typically appear as cauliflower-shaped or cockscomb-like lesions and can be transmitted between sexual partners. Therefore, once diagnosed, both partners should undergo treatment simultaneously. Sexual intercourse should also be avoided during treatment to prevent recurrent infection.
