How to Improve Facial Telangiectasia
Disease description:
This may be due to the recent dry weather, causing visible facial telangiectasia (red blood vessels). How can this be improved?
If facial telangiectasia (visible red blood vessels) develops, it can be improved using the following approaches. First, topical application of 0.5% tamoxifen cream, anti-erythema cream, or epidermal growth factor (EGF) gel may help effectively constrict dilated capillaries, repair damaged capillaries and vascular walls, prevent further dilation, accelerate metabolism and skin repair, and thereby alleviate and gradually resolve redness. Second, under a physician’s guidance, systemic treatment with oral medications—such as compound glycyrrhizin and hydroxychloroquine—may be employed.
