Is it good to wash your face with white vinegar?
Disease description:
My facial skin is in poor condition. I’ve heard that washing my face with white vinegar can improve skin health—would it be beneficial to wash my face with white vinegar?
Washing your face with white vinegar is generally not advisable, primarily because white vinegar is an irritating liquid. Using it blindly on the face can easily irritate facial skin—especially in individuals with a naturally thin stratum corneum. After washing with vinegar, localized skin may lose excessive moisture, leading to dryness and even wrinkles. Facial cleansing with white vinegar is considered a folk remedy and typically offers no therapeutic benefit; therefore, it should not be used arbitrarily.
