If symptoms are mild, spontaneous recovery typically occurs once exposure to the allergen is discontinued. However, if symptoms such as skin redness, itching, or papules appear, topical calamine lotion should be applied under a physician’s guidance, combined with antihistamine medications—for example, cetirizine.
