When should the attenuated Japanese encephalitis vaccine be administered?
Disease description:
My baby is 6 months old, and it seems it’s time for the live attenuated Japanese encephalitis vaccine. However, I can’t recall when the vaccine was administered previously, so I’d like to ask: When should the live attenuated Japanese encephalitis vaccine be given?
The attenuated Japanese encephalitis vaccine is typically administered at 1 year of age, followed by a booster dose at 2 years of age. Another booster dose is required at 7 years of age. However, vaccination is not recommended in cases of acute febrile illness, severe chronic disease, allergic disorders, or known allergy-prone constitution.
