Gout patients can consume ice cream, but only in moderation, as excessive intake may harm the body. Ice cream contains relatively high amounts of sugar, which gout patients must monitor carefully. During acute gout attacks, a light, low-salt, low-fat, and low-sugar diet is strongly recommended to avoid exacerbating arthritis symptoms and impeding recovery. Additionally, gout patients should drink plenty of water, strictly abstain from alcohol, and avoid fish soup, meat broth, hotpot broth, organ meats, and all types of seafood—as well as fermented foods, meats, legumes, and nuts.
