In autumn, dry skin can be alleviated by drinking more water and consuming fruits such as apples and pears, which help clear internal heat, resolve dampness, nourish yin, and moisten the lungs—thereby effectively improving skin dryness. Additionally, avoid using hot water or alkaline soaps and fragranced soaps, and limit bathing frequency to prevent stripping away the skin’s natural protective sebum layer, which may exacerbate dryness. After bathing, promptly apply hand cream or moisturizer to protect the skin and reduce the occurrence of dryness.
