Allergic dermatoses include contact dermatitis, glucocorticoid-dependent dermatitis, eczema, herpes simplex, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, urticaria, and papular urticaria, among others. In the treatment of allergic dermatoses, allergens may be encountered via contact, diet, or medications. Patients are advised to identify their specific allergens and, whenever possible, avoid exposure to them. Concurrently, symptomatic treatment with oral antihistamines or other anti-allergic medications is recommended.
