Wrinkled and peeling hands may result from exfoliative keratolysis, a condition caused by damp-heat in the skin’s blood circulation and impaired sweat gland function. Alternatively, it could be contact dermatitis—often triggered by prolonged exposure to irritating substances such as highly alkaline personal care products, dishwashing detergents, or laundry detergents—or it may stem from eczema.
