Disease description:
Recently, the soles of my feet have been itchy, accompanied by peeling skin. What condition does itching and peeling of the soles indicate?
Itching and peeling of the soles may be caused by tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), a fungal infection, or possibly by a bacterial infection. This condition may also result from poor hygiene in daily life, vitamin deficiencies, inflammatory skin disorders, allergic inflammatory skin diseases, or infectious inflammatory skin diseases. A definitive diagnosis requires evaluation and examination at a hospital.
