After being bitten by a mosquito, the glans penis may become locally red, swollen, itchy, and painful. Initially, apply a cold, damp towel; symptoms will gradually resolve spontaneously, and no specific treatment is required. If swelling or itching is severe, you may apply Calamine Lotion (Xiehe Brand) or Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream. Under no circumstances should you scratch or rub the area with your hands, as this may abrade the mucocutaneous surface and lead to infection or inflammation. Patients are advised to maintain local hygiene and change and wash undergarments frequently.
