How to Quickly Reduce Swelling After a Mosquito Bite Around the Eye
Disease description:
I’m 19 years old. My eye was bitten by a mosquito, and swelling subsequently developed. I’d like to know how to quickly reduce the swelling caused by a mosquito bite to the eye.
If the eye becomes swollen due to a mosquito bite, short-term treatment with corticosteroid hormones may be employed. Clinically, commonly used medications include tobramycin and dexamethasone ophthalmic ointment, which help rapidly reduce swelling. Additional supportive treatments may include olopatadine eye drops, emedastine fumarate eye drops, and azelastine hydrochloride eye drops. During the acute phase, patients should follow a light diet and avoid foods such as longan, beef, and mutton.
