Children’s diarrhea can be effectively managed with moxibustion therapy. Moxibustion can be applied to the umbilicus—the Shenque (CV8) acupoint—which helps regulate children’s visceral functions, particularly those of the spleen and stomach. When spleen-stomach function improves, diarrhea symptoms are significantly alleviated. Each session should last 5–10 minutes. Additionally, moxibustion at the Zusanli (ST36) acupoint—located three cun below the knee—can also relieve diarrhea. Zusanli is widely used to strengthen the spleen and stomach and treat digestive disorders, including diarrhea.
