Symptoms of Various Skin Diseases in Humans
Disease description:
I have developed a skin condition, which sometimes causes pain and is accompanied by red patches. Could you please explain the symptoms associated with various skin diseases in humans?
Allergic dermatoses—commonly represented by eczema—present with symptoms such as erythema, crusting, and lichenification.
Infectious dermatoses—such as herpes zoster caused by viral infection—manifest as erythematous patches, clusters of vesicles distributed in a band-like (dermatomal) pattern, and varying degrees of pain.
Inflammatory erythematous, scaly eruptions—e.g., psoriasis—appear as erythematous, scaly plaques; removal of the scales reveals a thin, translucent film (the “film phenomenon”), and further scraping of this film results in pinpoint bleeding (the “Auspitz sign”).
