Treatment for hornet stings varies depending on the severity of the injury. For mild cases—characterized only by localized pain—it is recommended to apply topical medications such as Bactroban ointment or Ruyijinhuan ointment under a physician’s guidance. For more severe cases—accompanied by significant swelling, pain, or abscess formation—patients should seek hospital care for intravenous antibiotic therapy, surgical incision and drainage of the abscess, and topical application of blood-activating and stasis-resolving medications.
