Acute fatty liver of pregnancy (AFLP) is primarily associated with the pregnant woman’s daily diet; excessive nutritional intake coupled with insufficient physical activity can lead to AFLP. In a small number of cases, AFLP arises from hormonal changes occurring during pregnancy. Given these etiological factors, patients should focus on adjusting their dietary structure, engaging in appropriate physical activity, and avoiding indiscriminate use of medications; regular monitoring is generally sufficient.
