What does it mean to have orchitis?
Disease description:
I’ve been experiencing some pain in my genital area over the past two days. After visiting the hospital for an examination, the doctor diagnosed me with orchitis. What exactly is orchitis?
Orchitis is typically caused by infectious agents, such as *Mycoplasma*, *Chlamydia*, viruses, or bacteria. Following onset, patients commonly experience testicular swelling, pain, erythema, and enlargement; systemic symptoms—including chills and fever—may also occur. In severe cases, walking may be impaired. Once diagnosed with orchitis, treatment under a physician’s guidance—often involving antibiotics such as levofloxacin capsules—is recommended.
