What should I do if I develop tinea (fungal infection) with scaling at the corner of my eye?
Disease description:
I’ve recently experienced severe flaking near the corners of my eyes, along with what appears to be tinea (fungal infection). What should I do about tinea and flaking at the inner or outer canthus?
Treatment for tinea (fungal infection) or scaling at the outer canthus typically includes both topical and oral medications.
If the condition is seborrheic dermatitis, oral administration of levocetirizine hydrochloride oral solution and compound glycyrrhizin capsules is recommended under a physician’s guidance, along with topical application of boric acid–zinc oxide ointment.
If the diagnosis is psoriasis, topical application of tacalcitol ointment or tacrolimus ointment is advised, combined with oral administration of compound aminopeptide tablets and Baixuan Xiatare capsules.
