Is “Gusong” osteoporosis?
Disease description:
Osteoporosis is a group of bone disorders caused by various factors. In osteoporosis, bone tissue undergoes normal mineralization, with calcium salts and bone matrix maintaining their usual proportional relationship; however, the defining feature is a reduced amount of bone tissue per unit volume—a metabolic bone disease. In most cases of osteoporosis, the decrease in bone mass results primarily from increased bone resorption relative to bone formation. Key clinical features include skeletal pain and an increased susceptibility to fractures.
