Can Alendronate Sodium and Vitamin D3 Tablets prevent osteoporosis?

Physician’s Recommendation: Alendronate Sodium and Vitamin D3 Tablets are indicated for the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis in women to increase bone mass and reduce the incidence of fractures, including hip and vertebral (compression) fractures. They are also indicated for the treatment of osteoporosis in men to increase bone mass. Use as directed by a physician; generally not intended for prevention—dosage and duration should be determined based on individual clinical circumstances.
