Which Foods Can Help Prevent Osteoporosis?
Disease description:
Dietary Therapy for Preventing Osteoporosis: Yellow Soybean and Pork Bone Soup
Ingredients: 250 g fresh pork bones, 100 g yellow soybeans
Preparation:
Soak the yellow soybeans in cold water for 6–8 hours. Rinse the fresh pork bones thoroughly and cut them into pieces. Place the bones in boiling water to blanch, removing any blood and impurities. Transfer the blanched bones to a clay pot; add 20 g sliced ginger, 200 mL rice wine, an appropriate amount of salt, and 1000 mL water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer gently until the bones become tender. Add the soaked soybeans and continue simmering until the soybeans are soft and fully cooked. The soup is then ready for consumption.
Therapeutic Effects:
Fresh pork bones contain natural calcium and collagen, which help support bone growth and replenish essential bone nutrients. Yellow soybeans are rich in isoflavone glycosides, calcium, iron, phosphorus, and other nutrients that promote bone development and supply vital elements required for bone health. This soup effectively helps prevent age-related skeletal degeneration and osteoporosis.
