The incubation period for Ebola hemorrhagic fever ranges from 2 to 21 days, typically 8 to 10 days. During the incubation period, individuals are not infectious. Once symptomatic, patients develop high fever, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, and impaired liver and kidney function. Hemorrhagic manifestations may also occur, including gingival bleeding, hematochezia, hematuria, and hematemesis. In severe cases, complications such as shock, disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), and heart failure may develop, necessitating prompt medical evaluation and treatment.
