Early-stage HIV infection cannot be completely cured; however, timely and appropriate medical treatment can effectively control the disease. AIDS is a condition characterized by damage to the body’s immune system, leading to immunosuppression and increased susceptibility to infections. It is also contagious. Lifelong antiretroviral therapy, prescribed and monitored by a healthcare provider, is required to manage the disease.
