What are the causes of right lower abdominal pain?
Disease description:
I’ve been feeling unwell in my abdomen lately, with persistent pain in the lower right abdomen. Could you please tell me what might be causing this pain?
Causes of right lower quadrant abdominal pain primarily include both acute and chronic conditions. Acute conditions encompass acute mesenteric lymphadenitis, acute intestinal volvulus, perforation of gastric or duodenal ulcers, and acute pelvic inflammatory disease. Chronic conditions include malignant tumors such as appendiceal adenocarcinoma, right ureteral calculi, chronic right ovarian disorders, tuberculous peritonitis, and functional dyspepsia.
