What Are the Symptoms of Duodenal Bulbitis?
Disease description:
I’ve recently experienced abdominal pain and bloating. I heard it might be caused by duodenal bulbitis—a condition I’m hearing about for the first time. What are the symptoms of duodenal bulbitis?
The primary symptoms of duodenal bulbitis include upper abdominal pain or bloating; some patients may experience belching, acid reflux, nausea, or vomiting, with symptom severity fluctuating over time. If the condition leads to mucosal erosion in the duodenum—particularly when the lesion is deep—it often invades blood vessels, resulting in gastrointestinal bleeding; however, the volume of bleeding is typically small.
