Causes of Itchy Skin in Summer
Disease description:
I don’t know why I’ve been experiencing skin itching every summer for the past two years. Summer is approaching again, and I’m quite concerned. What are the causes of summer-related skin itching?
Summer-related pruritus (itching) may result from photochemical reactions induced by ultraviolet (UV) radiation exposure. Additionally, it may be caused by miliaria (heat rash), which develops due to hot, humid weather and elevated ambient temperatures. Furthermore, prolonged high temperatures combined with high environmental humidity during summer can trigger summer dermatitis, impairing the skin’s barrier function and thereby leading to pruritus.
