What methods can be used to treat heat rash in children?
Disease description:
My child is now two years old. While changing his clothes, I noticed a rash on his skin and became concerned it might be a serious illness, so I took him to the hospital for evaluation. He was ultimately diagnosed with miliaria (heat rash). I would like to know what treatment methods are appropriate for infants and toddlers with miliaria.
Heat rash (miliaria) in infants can be treated with talcum powder. During summer, indoor temperatures are generally high and humidity levels elevated, which often leads to heat rash in babies—commonly appearing on the neck, forehead, chest, and back. After bathing, applying a mild, low-irritant talcum powder to the baby’s skin helps keep the skin dry. Additionally, ensure the indoor environment remains well-ventilated and cool to minimize sweating and promote sweat evaporation.
