Hello, cervical ectropion refers to the displacement of columnar epithelium from the endocervical canal. In most cases, it is not necessarily a pathological condition. The symptoms commonly associated with cervical ectropion typically result from the downward displacement of columnar epithelium at the lower margin of the endocervical canal, often triggered by factors such as sexual activity, pregnancy, or childbirth. When cervical ectropion is accompanied by chronic inflammation, the most common manifestation is contact bleeding. We hope this information is helpful to you. Wishing you a happy and healthy life!
