AIDS is a disease caused by HIV infection. After becoming infected with HIV, women may experience symptoms such as fatigue, joint pain, rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fever during the acute phase. However, these symptoms are nonspecific and lack distinctive features; therefore, it is difficult to determine whether someone has been infected with HIV based solely on symptoms.
