Fever may occur after receiving the inactivated hepatitis A vaccine; however, it is typically mild in most individuals. A small number of people may also experience mild redness, swelling, and pain at the injection site. These symptoms represent common, expected adverse reactions to the hepatitis A vaccine and usually resolve spontaneously within 1–2 days without requiring specific treatment. However, if fever persists for an extended period, medical evaluation at a hospital is necessary to identify the underlying cause and initiate appropriate treatment.
